Lorsque j’ai démarré le régime cétogène en 2016, il n’existait presque aucun contenu en français, tant sur internet que publié sous forme de livre. Écrire ce livre, c’était donc faire la synthèse de toutes ces années d’expérimentation, comme un guide clé en main pour les sportifs qui souhaitent se lancer dans l’alimentation cétogène, tant d’un point de vue théorique que pratique. C’est un livre que j’ai voulu accessible à toutes et tous car c’est le point de vue d’un passionné de sport et de nutrition, et non d’un scientifique qui n’est jamais sorti de son laboratoire. C’est celui que j’aurais aimé avoir dans les mains lorsque j’ai débuté le cétogène et qui m’aurait évité bien des erreurs !

J’ai battu mon record au Marathon de Paris en 2h58 cette année grâce à un entraînement structuré avant tout. Mais il est vrai que le régime cétogène permet de s’entraîner de nombreuses heures chaque semaine avec un niveau d’énergie parfaitement stable et qui ne dépend pas de la recharge glucidique prise avant la séance, ce qui offre un confort et une sérénité incomparables.
Le jour de la course, je n’ai pas mangé de petit déjeuner et je n’ai rien eu besoin d’avaler aux ravitaillements autre que de l’eau et je n’ai eu aucune baisse de glycémie ni subi le fameux « mur » du trentième kilomètre. Cela prouve que mon organisme a puisé l’énergie nécessaire des lipides et non de ses réserves en glycogène. Quand je pense qu’on conseille de manger 80 grammes de glucides par heure d’effort pour des sportifs non-cétogènes ! C’est véritablement toute la nutrition du sportif à réapprendre.
Attention, je n’encourage personne à essayer de faire un marathon à jeun du jour au lendemain, cela peut être dangereux.
